Marco konnte im starken Jahrgang 1981 während seiner Jugendzeit immer vorne mitmischen. Profi zu werden war aber nie ein Thema. Er spielt bis heute mit Leidenschaft Turniere und Interclub auf gutem regionalem Niveau. Seine Erfolge als mehrfacher Stadtzürcher- und Glarnermeister im Einzel und Doppel wurden letztens mit dem Vize-Schweizermeistertitel in der Kategorie Ü35 gekrönt. Ballgefühl, das Mentale und das taktische Verständnis sind seine Stärken. Seine Erfahrung gibt er gerne an andere Spieler weiter. Marco betreute diverse Interclub-Teams auf regionaler Ebene und engagiert sich regelmässig als Sparring. Selbst spielte er während 4 Jahren in der Nationalliga B.

In his youth Marco was always among the front runners of his year (1981), which was known to be a particularly competitive year with many strong players. While it was never his ambition to play pro, he still passionately competes in tournaments and interclub on a regional level to this day. Marco’s successes of repeatedly winning the titles of Zurich City champion as well as Canton Glarus champion recently earned him the honour of being crowned Vice Swiss Champion in the category of >35. His strengths include a particular feel for the ball, mental strategies and exceptional tactical understanding of the game. Marco loves handing down his knowledge and experience to other players and has trained various regional interclub-teams and regularly engages himself as a sparring partner. Furthermore, he continued to play in the National League B for another four years.

MICHAEL KURZ

Als ehemaliger ATP-Spieler und bestklassierter Schweizer Linkshänder war Michael ein gefragter Sparringpartner von Roger Federer, dem Schweizer Davis-Cup-Team und mehreren WTA-Top-Ten-Spielerinnen. Der mehrfache Junioren Schweizer Meister trainierte während Jahren im Nationalen Leistungszentrum in Biel und sicherte sich mit dem Grasshopper Club Zürich dreimal den NLA Interclub Schweizer Meister Titel. Während seiner Karriere spielte er gegen internationale Topspieler wie Rafael Nadal, Fabio Fognini und Andy Murray, wobei er gegen Letztere als Sieger vom Platz ging. Seit dem Ende seiner Profikarriere arbeitete er für verschiedene Tennisschulen in der Region Zürich.

As a former professional on the ATP World Tour and highest ranked left-handed Swiss player, Michael was a greatly appreciated sparring partner for Roger Federer, the Swiss Davis Cup team and several world top-ten female players of the WTA World Tour. He also has numerous Swiss junior national titles under his belt and spent several years in the national Tennis academy in Biel. At the men’s level, he helped claim no less than three national team championship titles (Interclub NLA) for the Grasshopper Club Zurich. During his active career he played against top stars like Fabio Fognini and no others than Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray, against whom he scored one of his most noteworthy wins in his career. Michael has also worked for several Tennis Academies in the greater Zurich region.

STEFAN KILCHHOFER

Der frühere Schweizer Top-Ten-Spieler Stefan Kilchhofer rangierte zeitweilig als Nummer 728 auf der ATP-Weltrangliste. Als Gegner standen ihm viele namhafte Spieler gegenüber, von denen er einige besiegen konnte. Zudem stand der 33-jährige mehr als zehn Jahre für verschiedene NLA-Interclub-Teams im Einsatz. Stefan ist aktiver Wettkampftrainer B (Swiss Tennis), arbeitete für renommierte Tennisclubs und Academies und wirkte als Sparringpartner von Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka und Marco Chiudinelli. Als langjährige Nummer 1 seines Jahrgangs zählt der Baselbieter und heutige Wahlzürcher zu den erfolgreichsten schweizer Tennispielern seiner Generation.

STEFAN KILCHHOFER

The former Swiss top-ten player Stefan Kilchhofer was ranked number 728 on the ATP World Tour. He has beaten several players that are today considered world class. The 32 year old has also been a valuable asset to many teams in the national team championships (Interclub NLA). Stefan holds a B-Level (Wettkampftrainer B) trainer certificate from Swiss Tennis and has worked for renowned Tennis clubs and academies across Switzerland in managing positions. Furthermore and most notably, he was a regular sparring partner for Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka and Marco Chiudinelli. Having been the number 1 player of his age class at the junior level for several years, Stefan is regarded to be one of the most successful Tennis players of his generation.
